Garador Mk3c Garage Door Spring Box

This Garador Mk3c spring box unit is suitable for all Garador Mk3c (Mark 3c), S/S, C-Type and Mk2 (Mark 2) garage doors manufactured before 1999. It is suitable for doors manufactured by Westland Engineering and Catnic.

This modern replacement box includes 2 pre-tensioned springs for easy installation and a removable plastic front cover to allow for any future repairs to be carried out more safely.

What is included in this Garador Mk3c spring box unit?

The springbox comes complete with two pre-tensioned springs to allow for a simpler installation process. It also comes with a pair of replacement support cables, a latch keeper bracket and fixing screws. The spring box is manufactured to the original pre-1999 Garador specifications and comes with a sliding plastic cover allowing for easy access.

There are 3 pre-cut holes on the underside of the box. This means it is suitable for both 1- and 2-point locking mechanisms. For doors with two-point locking an additional latch support bracket can be purchased here.

How can I identify if this is the Garador spring box I need?

This springbox will suit all Garador, Westland and Catnic garage doors with an overhead springbox. You will often find a label on the back of the door to identify the make/model of the garage door.

The springs inside the box come in different strengths to suit all the different sizes and styles of garage door produced. How to identify the required spring number: Check existing springs for coloured bands of paint around the spring. If the existing spring is too greasy or rusty to make out any markings, measure the door opening size (width x height), make a note of your door design (this is often referenced on the label on the back of the door) and check against the spring chart further down the page.

With replacing a spring box the main thing you should be worried about is your safety. It is recommended to wear protective eyewear and gloves when dealing with springs under tension.
